Can BURNSTOP® cause health problems? Definitely not!

Flame retardants have been the talk of town recently. In 1977 the first flame retardants, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB), were banned, when their toxicity was proven. Industries then switched to brominated flame retardants, which are closely examined at the moment. In 2008 the EU banned several types of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PDBE), as 10 years earlier, Sweden had discovered, that these flame retardants accumulate in breast milk. Traces of flame retardants have in fact be found in the bodies of all tested Americans.

New tests suggest that part of this contamination was caused by dust on television sets, which was generated by the heat caused by the TV, which heated up the flame retardants on the TV set. Therefore, improper disposal of electronic equipment like TVs, microwaves and old computers increases environmental damage significantly. The flame retardant BURNSTOP® is odourless, colourless and a water based product. It does not contain bromine compounds or propellants and can protect your home from fire!
